The process of exploring and capturing ones own identity comfortably, can perhaps become one of the most difficult and consuming tasks a person can undertake. It calls for a certain kind of isolation, whether mentally, or from the nature of your work itself. We all, it could be suggested, as artists, strive to make lasting marks - marks which upon reflection we often feel are a document of a moment in time - a period in our lives. It is the making of these marks, which essentially confirm our existence, and our own separate, individual identities. We aim to each present an expression of our individual understandings, of ourselves.
